The Dzunuḵ̓wa Society works to protect all ancient temperate rainforests...and won’t stop until they are protected.

The current system favors short-term industry profit over people. The current model dishonours the intention of the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous People (UNDRIP), fails to protect Indigenous sovereignty and natural law, and is destroying our biodiversity - our lands, forests, waters, air, and the future of the children.

All this must change.

The Dzunuḵ̓wa Society is working on many fronts to save the old growth rainforests for the next seven generations and beyond in so-called British Columbia and we need your help!

Our Indigenous voices and perspectives gives insight and allows us to engage with a wide variety of potential allies and working partners. Establishing relationships with important members of our growing network includes meeting with the federal/provincial governments, industry, and individuals.

Most immediately we need financial support to attend the UN Biodiversity Conference (COP15) taking place from December 7-19 in Montreal, where thousands of delegates and representatives will attend. We will draw global attention to the biodiversity crisis occurring due to logging the last remaining old growth forests on Vancouver Island.

We demand that the recommendations put forth by the Old Growth Strategic Review be implemented immediately.

We cannot let more ancient forests fall. The time to act is NOW !
